NEWBURYPORT BOYS BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2023-2024 Season(1st grade through 8th grade) will begin on September 10 until October 31st.

1st and 2nd Graders - Rookie League

3rd and 4th Grade Boys- D League. 4th Grade travel tryouts will be in mid to late October. Tryouts are optional but encouraged. All players not selected are placed into the D League

5th-8th Grade Boys- Intown/Travel . Travel Tryouts will be in mid to late October. Tryouts are optional but encouraged. All players not selected are placed into the In Town Program

High School Registration will open in December

NBBA 2023-2024 D-League ( 3rd and 4th Grade)

DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE

The Developmental League (D-League), for boys in grades 3 and 4, introduces boys to basketball by teaching the fundamentals and offering structured games. The intent of the NBBA is to develop all players by keeping them interested in basketball for many years, recognizing that boys vary in their speed of development.

Registration Fee = $225 per player

TOTAL = $225

4th Grade will have a travel team tryout. If you son is seleted for that program there is an additional $50 Cost. 4th Graders that do not make the travel are automatically assigned to the D League

NBBA 2023-2024 Rookie League (1st and 2nd Grade Coed)

ROOKIE LEAGUE

The Rookie League is for boys & girls in grades 1-2. Focus is on teaching the basic fundamentals of basketball.

Registration Fee = $165 per player

CAPE ANN LEAGUE (Travel)

The Cape Ann League, for boys in grades 4 through 8, plays competitive basketball against other teams in the Cape Ann League, with team selections based on an open and balanced selection process. All travel players will be billed an addition $50 per player to offset Cape Ann League dues. No player is allowed to tryout until registered and paid in full.

IN-TOWN LEAGUE

The In-Town League, for boys in grades 5 through 8, plays competitive basketball in the city by creating teams of equal talent and requires equal playing time for all players.

Registration Fee = $275 per player
